2012 Results

We had an amazing Performers Festival this year.  Thank you to EVERYONE for all of your hard work, for spending half of a Saturday performing and watching, and for all of the great entertainment!!

Here are the results that our judge, Karissa Propson, presented:

Judge’s Special Awards:

  • Luke Kokinos of the Fitchburg Fireflies (Something Creative, Electric Guitar Solo)–“For Rockin’ Out”
  • Emma Hanisko of Cambridge (B-Bot, Lego Robotics Demonstration)–“Very Informative Presentation”
  • Hannah Craig of The Queststars (Spores, An Interpretive Reading of Self-Written Poem)–“Best Original Piece”

State Fair Music and/or Drama Performance Group (groups of 5 or more participants).  All of these groups were nominated to perform at State Fair.  “Nominees” receive priority date assignments over “Alternates”.

  • High Flyers 4H with Shamrock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Robot (Nominee)
  • Brooklyn Mighty Mites 4H with Flight of the Brooklyn Mighty Mites (Alternate)
  • Cambridge 4H with Peggy the Pirate (Alternate)

State Fair Mini Performances (groups of 5 or fewer participants)  All of these groups were nominated to perform at State Fair.  “Nominees” receive priority date assignments over “Alternates”.

  • DJ and Michaela Culey (Funeral Parlor: skit for two)–Madison High Flyers (Nominee)
  • Colton Curley (Seasons of Love: Vocal Solo)–Madison High Flyers (Nominee)
  • Ashley O’Connell (Red Noses, White Faces, & Wigs, Oh, My!: Demonstration)–Happy Hikers (Alternate)
  • Kimberly Wethal (Shattered Glass: Interpretive Reading of Self-Written Poem)–Triangle Trooper (Alternate)
  • Lydia Russell (I Could Have Danced All Night: Vocal Solo)–Brooklyn Mighty Mites (Alternate)
